Cb radio range distance? - cb radio range
I have a CB radio antenna 8 feet. I ran a coaxial cable that directly connects to the antenna and the connector on the CB radio. However, to the extent of the unit is less than a half-mile to see where I am. Is there evidence or amplifier Remida you can have this.

Amplifiers are illegal.
Half a mile is very common when bands are loud.
Check the SWR of the antenna. If the SWR is high, doubled the issuer to avoid damage to the station.
CA is a good thing in a 3:1 ratio of standing waves. Lower, the better, but 3:1 is acceptable.
The antenna must be at least 9 meters, 27 MHz, 1/4WAVE is 108 cm.
Half a mile sounds like you have a problem until you try to communicate through a mountain.
