Can I burn from my JVC GZ-MG275 Camcorder direct to DVD through an external DVD burner? - jvc dvd burner

I bought a new camera today and want to record directly to DVD without a PC. I know I can get a DVD recorder from JVC, which allows me to do, but I wonder who could be any other DVD recorder instead of the designated brand JVC. Any help is useful. Cheers.
